You waited all day for Sunday night Cheap Jon Halapio Jersey , then the New York Giants disappointed you with a 20-13 stinker of a loss to the Dallas Cowboys. You have been waiting all morning for Kudos & Wet Willies, and while K&WW is a little later than usual its here.Lets get to our traditional day after review.Kudos to ...Saquon Barkley Well, if you are going to spend the entire night checking the ball down you might as well set a record while doing it. The 14 passes Barkley caught broke Tiki Barbers franchise record for receptions in a game, which had been 13. Hes a really nice option when you cant get the ball down the field, but Barkley cant be the whole offense.Riley Dixon At least the Giants punter had a nice night. He punted six times, surrendered just 14 return yards, had three punts downed inside the 20-yard line and had a 40.0-yards per punt net average.Damon Harrison Big Snacks just keeps going and going. Dallas did a lot of things on offense Sunday big plays in the passing game, mesmerizing the Giants with the read option among them. The one thing they did not do was have any success running the ball in Harrisons direction. Snacks had four tackles and quarterback hit.Cody Latimer Had the Giants only really big play of the night, making a contested catch of a Manning pass for a 37-yard gain that set up an Aldrick Rosas field goal that got the Giants on the board in the third quarter. Latimer also averaged 28.5 yards on two kickoff returns.Wet Willies to ...Offensive line Here is something I wrote last night: Stunts. Blitzes. Four-man rushes. The Giants offensive line couldnt handle any of it.Here is something left tackle Nate Solder said: They blitzed. They ran stunts. They rushed four. They did a number of things and we didnt pick up any of it.I swear, I wrote Things we learned before seeing Solders quote. Really. Hand on a Bible. It isnt, though, like it was hard to see. When Dallas blitzed, it seemed like the Giants had no clue where they were coming from or who was supposed to pick up the blitzer. When the defensive linemen ran basic stunts the Giants mostly Patrick Omameh and Ereck Flowers on the right side seemed unable to figure out how to pass guys off. Eli Manning got sacked six times times, four in the first half when it seemed like a constant jailbreak to the quarterback. The Giants averaged a pitiful 2.1 yards rushing the ball (17 carries, 35 yards) with Saquon Barkley earning much of what the Giants did get on his own.Maybe it will get better as the revamped offensive line (with a new starting center following the awful injury to Jon Halapio) but the rebuild to this point has been a failure. There really isnt a single member of that group who should feel good about the way he has played thus far.The Giants will never be able to run a competent offense and take advantage of the play-making talent they have without blocking that gives them a chance.Shane Smith I really like Smith. The young man is a great kid, personable, accommodating. What good to a team, though, is a fullback who doesnt block? Smith played four snaps on offense Sunday night. On one, he had no idea who to block and a blitzer ran right by him on his way to Manning. On another http://www.giantscheapshops.com/cheap-auth...r-barwin-jersey , he knew who to block. He just got run over trying to do it.Pass rush What pass rush? While Manning was getting battered by the Cowboys, Dak Prescott was enjoying a leisurely day at the beach. Prescott was never sacked in 25 pass attempts, and was touched by the Giants just three times. He got hit more when he chose to run the ball on the read option (7 carries, 45 yards), and even that was usually after he had picked up significant chunks of yardage.Janoris Jenkins/Curtis Riley Im not sure if Jackrabbit should get blame for the 64-yard Prescott to Tavon Austin touchdown pass or Riley. Jackrabbit appeared to miss a jam at the line of scrimmage, then slipped and fell behind in the footrace. Riley, the free safety in the middle of the field, seemed to be late, took a horrid angle and wasnt really close to keeping Austin out of the end zone. This is the second game in a row the Jenkins/Riley combo has been burned for a deep ball.Kaelin Clay The Giants didnt want to give up on Clay after his misadventures in Week 1, including a muffed punt that cost the Giants an opportunity at a final possession. Sunday night, Clay averaged 5.5 yards on two returns and was fortunate not to turn the ball over one of those when a punt landed in front of him and banged off his shins.Kwillies to ...Eli Manning The 37-year-old took a beating Sunday night, and admirably kept getting back up. He was sacked six times in 50 drop backs, the most times he has been sacked since also being taken down six times by the Philadelphia Eagles Oct. 12, 2014. He was hit eight other times. He ran two quarterback sneaks for fourth-down conversions, with the broadcast saying it was the first time he had run the sneak since 2010. Give him credit for still being able to take the hits and get back up.Manning, though, orchestrated an offense that didnt go anywhere. The Giants actually an an 11-play drive in the first half that gained 23 yards. How is that even possible? They didnt cross midfield until the second half.Manning completed 33-of-44 passes and had a nice passer rating of 98.6. Those completions, though, generated only 279 passing yards. Thats 6.3 per completion. Subtract the six sacks that cost the Giants 59 yards and Manning averaged only 4.4 yards per play on 50 drop backs. Thats not going to get it done.If my math is right, the Next Gen Stats chart shows that 12 of Mannings passes (27.2 percent) were thrown behind the line of scrimmage. Seventeen more were thrown within 5 yards of the line. Only seven were down the field beyond 20 yards. The pass rush was without doubt a major part of the problem. Many of those check downs were because Manning had no choice due to the pressure. At times Cheap Will Hernandez Jersey , though, it looked like the Giants wanted to go down the field and Manning chose not to pull the trigger. Did Manning miss opportunities? Make the right choices because guys were covered? Not trust his protection and sometimes get the ball out too quickly or exactly what happened?Right now, those questions are hard to answer. Through two games, though, the Giants have scored 28 points. Ten of those came in Sundays fourth quarter when it was, realistically, already too late and the Cowboys werent applying as much pressure. In those two games, the Giants havent gotten a single really big play from Odell Beckham Jr. The offense Manning included is going to have to be better than that or this is going to be another long, wasted season.Giants at Texans: 6 things to watch in Sundays matchup To have any realistic chance of making a playoff run this season the 0-2 New York Giants have to find a way to defeat the also 0-2 Houston Texans on Sunday. Here are some of the things to watch as the Giants try to get their first victory of the Pat Shurmur era.Somebody set an alarm clock, please! The Giants need to figure out what time kickoff is, and remember that the first few series of the game actually do count. In Week 1, the Jacksonville Jaguars scored on three of their first four possessions en route to building a 13-3 lead. In Week 2, the Dallas Cowboys got a touchdown and a field goal in their first two possessions.Of course, it would also help if someone would tell the offense its legal to score early in the game.Tackle ... the ... quarterbackSpeaking of things they arent doing right, lets hope the Giants come up with as better plan for defending the read option this week.In Week 1, Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles rumbled around left end for a 41-yard gain on a read option. The only thing that kept him from going father? Hes a quarterback and he ran out of gas.In Week 2, Dak Prescott ran 7 times for 45 yards. By my count, five of those runs were read options.Through two games, whatever the Giants are doing against the read option isnt working. Its a bad plan. They need to get a new one or Deshaun Watson might run for a million or so yards. The end zone is ... that way, somewhereThe Giants have scored only 28 points in two games. They have only two touchdowns. Its sort of obvious Cheap Eli Manning Jersey , but Shurmur said Wednesday that weve got to get in the end zone, quite frankly.Yes. Yes, they do.It will help if they are able to throw some passes down the field against Houston. Throwing two-third of their passes either behind or within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage, like they did last Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, isnt going to cut it. Having Odell Beckham averaging 10.8 yards per catch isnt going to cut it. Being 29th in the league in yards per play and 31st in red zone percentage is not going to cut it. Being last in the league in yards per play on first down isnt going to cut it.Can everybody please block somebody?Dallas made the Giants look silly with rushers constantly heading unimpeded to Manning. The Giants couldnt seem to get everyone blocked when the Cowboys blitzed last Sunday, even when they had enough blockers. They couldnt seem to keep track of who was supposed to block whom when Dallas used twists and stunts along the front line. Man on man the Giants seemed to do OK most of the time. It just seemed like far too often Giants blockers had no idea which guy they were actually responsible for.Per Football Outsiders the Giants offensive line is last in the league in Adjusted Line Yards when run blocking and 24th in Adjusted Sack Rate while pass protecting, Not good. With a dominant defensive front, the Texans pose a massive challenge for the Giants beleaguered offensive line. Pray that new center John Greco makes the right calls, that guysknow their assignments, that Manning moves just enough to stay in one piece and make a few plays along the way.DeAndre Hopkins vs. Janoris JenkinsWith Eli Apple (groin) almost certainly sidelined on Sunday, the Giants would appear to have little choice but to have Jackrabbit shadow Houstons All-Pro wide receiver. If Jenkins can play the way he did in memorable 2016 matchups against Dez Bryant, virtually taking the then-Cowboys star out of a pair of games, that would be a massive boost for the Giants.A little pass rush, pleaseThe Giants have just one sack. It doesnt look like Olivier Vernon is going to return to action this week. Maybe the porous Houston offensive line, which has surrendered seven sacks in two games, will be the elixir for the missing pass rush which, per Football Outsiders, has been the worst in the league in terms of Adjusted Sack Rate (1.7 percent).

WR Victor Bolden in Week 5 Foochs update: The 49ers have a week to decide Womens Brock Coyle Jersey , so can wait until after the Cardinals game if they want. The San Francisco 49ers have an assortment of injury issues, and head coach Kyle Shanahan said they might have to look at bringing in some healthy bodies at various positions. While they figure out who to bring in for Tuesday workouts, the 49ers have a decision to make with regard to wide receiver Victor Bolden. Over the summer, the NFL suspended Bolden for four games due to a violation of the leagues policy on performance-enhancing substances. He was allowed to take part in training camp and the preseason, but the 49ers then placed him on the Reserve/Suspended list as they cut down to 53 players.Boldens suspension is over, and the team has until Wednesday to figure out what to do. He currently does not count against the 53-man roster, and the 49ers get a two-day exemption to figure out if they want to release a player to make room for Bolden, or release Bolden to free agency.A year ago, Bolden spent the first 13 games of the season on the 53-man roster, and the final three games on injured reserve. In his 13 games on the roster, Bolden was active for nine games and inactive for four games. He was primarily a special teams player, appearing in 122 special teams snaps and 27 offensive snaps. He was the teams starting kick returner, with 19 returns for 396 yards (20.8 yards per return). The 49ers held onto him through the suspension, and while there was nothing lost in keeping him around, it does suggest they might have a spot for him on the roster. At the time of the suspension announcement, Bolden said he unknowingly used a supplement on the NFLs banned substance list. He acknowledged needing to take full responsibility for not verifying the ingredients of the supplement Womens Adrian Colbert Jersey , and the 49ers seemed to accept that it was an unintentional mistake.D.J. Reed is currently the teams starting kick returner, averaging 30.3 yards per return on nine kickoffs. The rules have changed in terms of the kick coverage players being delayed getting down the field, but Reed is fourth in return average, so hes finding success in the role. There are currently six wide receivers on the depth chart: Pierre Gar莽on, Marquise Goodwin, Trent Taylor, Dante Pettis, Kendrick Bourne, and Richie James. Through four games, James has been active once, playing seven offensive snaps and no special teams snaps. If the 49ers want Bolden back on the roster, my guess is they would release James in hopes he gets through waivers and they can sign him to the practice squad. James was an explosive option in the preseason, but has not been able to earn a spot on the game-day roster aside from the one game active when Marquise Goodwin was hurt. The 49ers have two days to make a decision, and I suspect any roster move does not formally happen until Wednesday.49ers place Jimmy Garoppolo on injured reserve, promote Nick Mullens from practice squad The San Francisco 49ers made the formal move of placing Jimmy Garoppolo on injured reserve. In conjunction, they promoted quarterback Nick Mullens from the practice squad. And it would appear that will be it for the time being. The 49ers worked out at least seven quarterbacks on Tuesday. It was a fairly limited group http://www.sanfrancisco49ersteamonline.com...ki-tartt-jersey , although given where we are in the season, the number of quality quarterbacks the team is seriously going to consider signing is limited.Head coach Kyle Shanahan told the media on Wednesday that the team was not going to sign any of them for the time being, but would not rule it out for the future. For this week, there are too many roster question marks to consider. They have several players that will be Friday or Saturday decisions, and they cant afford to carry a third quarterback behind C.J. Beathard and Nick Mullens. Shanahan also said they were not looking at any trade possibilities.Beathard returns to the starting role in an improved situation compared to a year ago. The 49ers offensive line remains a work in progress, but theyve got some consistency on the group. It is improved, and ideally he wont take nearly as much of a beating. Hes got some better pass catchers, and the running game has looked really solid the past two weeks. Most important for Beathard is the fact that he has a full offseason under his belt learning the system. When Shanahan was the Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator, Matt Ryan took a big step forward in the offense in year two. Im not here to say Beathard is Ryan, but in his second year in the offense, he would hopefully be in a position to better understand what is going on, and in turn make quicker decisions.Beathard took a beating last year, partially due to his offensive line and partially due to his own rookie status. He is a downgrade from Jimmy Garoppolo, but he needs to show he is an upgrade from what he was a year ago.

. And its time for an immediate change. This 2018 Buccaneers team was heading in the right direction as they started out 2-0. But as I previously pointed out http://www.buccaneersauthorizedshops.com/a...an-smith-jersey , they played a bad New Orleans team at the time and a Philadelphia team hampered by injuries. Those teams are still winning and this Tampa Bay defense is still terrible.Their offense was their best defense. Now that has caught up to them in the past two games. On Sunday, they traveled up to Chicago to face a Bears offense that ranked 26th in the NFL and a quarterback in Mitchell Trubisky who has not thrown for over 220 yards before Week 4. In both instances, the Bears looked like the No. 1 offense with the leagues top quarterback against Mike Smiths defense.Trubisky threw for 354 yards on 19 completions and six touchdowns with no interceptions. It was a career day for the young Bears quarterback, which is what I feared would happen because it had all the makings of a game where the Bears offense would make the Bucs defense look foolish. Oh, and Chicago also had over 100 yards rushing. Tampa Bays defense has no business being on the field with anyone else. Defensive coordinator Mike Smith has no business calling another defensive play for the Buccaneers. Head coach Dirk Koetter needs to make a decision during the bye week. That decision being removing Smith, his friend, from the coaching staff.Defensive line coach Brentson Buckner should take over. Players and front office personnel have raved about Buckners ability to eventually be a defensive coordinator in this league. Weve all heard how that will be his next job. While it may sound like a knee-jerk reaction, its the appropriate action. There was promise of a positive season but as the offense falters, the defense cant bail them out even if their careers depended on it. Smith once said that his job was to put his players in position to be successful. We have yet to see that.Heading into the bye week with a 2-2 record is disappointing after starting 2-0. It is an embarrassment to the organization Gerald McCoy Jersey , largely because a Mike Smith defense is an embarrassment. The time is now. Its time to replace Smith with Buckner. If 2018 was the year where Koetters job was on the line, his own friend isnt doing him any favors.Buccaneers vs. Steelers: TV schedule, notes, and more Broadcast InfoTV:ESPN (8:15 PM ET): Joe Tessitore, Jason Witten, Booger McFarland, Lisa Salters (Field reporter) SIRIUS:81 (Pit), 83 (TB) | XM: 226 (Pit), 225 (TB)Buccaneers Notes 鈥B RYAN FITZPATRICK passed for 402 yards with 4 TDs vs. 1 INT for 144.4 rating last week. Denzel Ward Jersey , bubble watch, and observations from Browns win over Giants The Cleveland Browns and New York Giants preseason opener is behind us, but theres still plenty to discuss as the Browns prepare for their next matchup on Friday against Buffalo.Overall, the Browns looked encouraging, especially on offense and especially at the quarterback position. Its been a long time since those words have been strung together and actually seemed more likely than not to be true.On that note, well roll right into some observations, starting with the teams revamped quarterback group.99 problems but a Quarterbackhopefully, finallyaint oneWhat a difference one season makes. Im glad everyone is finally able to see on the big screen what those at practice have been saying since training camp started: the Browns finally have competent quarterbacks, and its the most exciting thing maybe about this years team.Forget the Baker Mayfield against Tyrod Taylor debates. The Browns have been conditioned to perpetual quarterback competitions, and that coverage has dominated the teams media presence for what seems like forever. But this situation is different, and its time everyone comes to grips with itat least for now, right? Give it a few minutes before I possibly change my tune.Taylor appears to be everything the Browns hoped hed be after trading a third-rounder to Buffalo before last Aprils NFL draft. He wasnt tested much from the pocket during his two serieshat tip to the teams new-look offensive linebut he threw darts, putting the ball right on his receivers. It was a limited showing, but an encouraging one that well be hoping he can duplicate as the starting offense gets much more involved in the next two preseason games.Everything you can hope for from a rookie quarterback, Mayfield flashed it in his NFL preseason debut. It wasnt just the results that impressed me the most. The young signal-caller demonstrated a level of acumen, nuance, and attention to detail that rookie quarterbacks typically fail to grasp, especially the first time they step onto an NFL field. Most impressively, Mayfields comfort and ability to play from the pocket was remarkable. He also showed acute situational understanding, throwing the ball away at the right time, keeping his eyes down the field, then knowing when to use his more-than-capable legs to convert first downs in big spots when the situation called for it.Mayfield was 8-for-13 for 154 yards and two touchdowns when throwing from a clean pocket, according to Pro Football Focus. His 142.3 passer rating on those throws ranked him second out of 22 quarterbacks with qualifying dropbacks through Thursdays games.Despite the early strides, theres still no quarterback controversy in Cleveland. Mayfield will be ready to play sooner than later, and that will be a huge day for the Browns franchise, but Taylor appears to have the job locked up. It would take a big change in sentiment in Berea for coach Hue Jackson to shift to the rookie, although I wouldnt say its impossible if Mayfield continues to impress enough to make it a conversation. And he very well could do that Authentic Jabrill Peppers Jersey , especially if Jackson breaks from his hardline stance of giving Taylor all of the first-team quarterback snaps. Thats the sign to look for if youre wondering whether Mayfield has any legitimate shot at earning the starting job.The running game woesRunning the football is an art form in the NFL. In a league thats quickly identifying itself as a passing league, running the ball has become an afterthought lost in the shuffle of the main storylines. But its importance is not going away despite pass-friendly rule changes and perception to the contrary.Being able to run the ball results in a much easier path to offensive consistency, and it also helps open up the passing game. If the Browns are going to succeed, they cannot ignore that aspect of their offense as they have in the previous two seasons under Hue Jackson. For now, its fair to say the offensive line is struggling with its identity. Its likely well see some improvements after they play more together and build better cohesion and trust for one another. Getting into a rhythm is also key, both for offensive coordinator Todd Haley and the between the players. Haley should be able to find that rhythm in the upcoming weeks as the first-team line plays longer together. Those longer series will allow him to use his full arsenal to develop and set up plays, and also to learn what his players do best and and play to their strengths. The running backs will also be able to learn along the way, figuring out what works and where the holes are going to be.Its too soon to be concerned, but the running game is definitely a focus area moving forward.Although Clevelands offensive line struggled moving defenders in the run game, its pass protection was commendable and topped Pro Football Focus rankings following Thursdays action.Denzel Ward looks the part, and the overhauled secondary looks better, tooYoung cornerbacks are baptized in fire in the NFL. Its not often a rookie player enters the league and becomes an instant shutdown player at the position. But there is certainly hope for Denzel Ward. The Browns passed up a potential pass-rusher or offensive lineman to draft Ward at No. 4 overall, making him the highest selected cornerback since the Raiders took Charles Woodson at No. 4 in 1998.Watching his debut a second time showed me a glimpse at the elite player hes capable of becoming. Ward plays fast, instinctive, and is a very versatile defender who can both cover and provide run support. He needs to continue getting reps to help hone his technique and learn the routes hell be facing as he begins to take on the premier receivers in the league.Key offseason acquisition T.J. Carrie logged 45 percent of the snaps, the most by any Browns cornerback. And he showed up too. According to Pro Football Focus, Carrie allowed only one reception for seven yards on six targets, while allowing a passer rating of just 39.6, which was the best of any Browns cornerback. My five standouts from Bubble WatchAfter every preseason game Ill highlight five players who are on or near the roster bubble who I thought helped their chances of making the final 53-man roster.LB B.J. BelloBello is someone I noticed in linebacker drills in Berea. Gregg Williams was constantly laudingyelling at excitedly, more likethe large 6-foot-3, 229-pounder from Illinois State. When Williams yells, its good to listen, and Im glad I was paying attention. Bello played as good as anyone on the field defensively for the Browns against the Giants. He finished with four stops while playing 45 percent of the teams defensive snaps. Bello was cut, signed to the Browns practice squad, then activated and played in all 16 games for the Browns last seasonmainly on special teams until seeing increased playing time in December. Hell be competing for a roster spot with my next standout, James Burgess Jr.LB James Burgess Jr.Burgess led all Browns defenders, playing 76 percent of the teams defensive snaps Youth David Njoku Jersey , and finished with three stops and one quarterback hurry. Burgess will benefit from his experience last season. He finished the year as a big contributor, logging 60 percent of the teams linebacker snaps after Jamie Collins went down for the season in Week 10. Both Burgess and Bello could potentially end up on the Browns roster this year, although the additions of Mychal Kendricks and Genard Avery make that result unlikely.WR C.J. BoardBoard fumbled a punt return, but has been otherwise noteworthy for his receiving work. He has come on slowly to become a reliable option for Baker Mayfield, both in practice and now his hard work showed up in game situations. Boards nifty grab on 3rd-and-18 helped extend the drive, which ultimately ended in Mayfields touchdown toss to David Njoku. Even with Corey Coleman gone, Board is facing an uphill battle for a roster spot. Antonio Callaway, Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, and Josh Gordon are all good bets to make the teamassuming Gordon and Callaway are active and not facing discipline by the team or league. That leaves one or two spots up for grabs, one likely to go to special-teamer Jeff Janis, assuming he gets healthy soon. Can Board outplay Damion Ratley, Derrick Willies, and others for that sixth spot, assuming the team carries six receivers?DE Marcell FrazierPer PFF, Frazier had three quarterback pressures in 15 pass-rushing snaps, albeit against third-stringers in the second half. He also lined up as a standing left defensive end, hit a spin move between the right tackle and tight end, then wrapped and deflected Kyle Laulettas third-down pass attempt, forcing a long 3rd-and-18, then eventual punt. Frazier, a 6-foot-5, 260-plus-pound behemoth of a man, is competing with Carl Nassib and Nate Orchard for a rotational defensive end roster spot. Frazier went undrafted but was projected to be a Day 3 pick in Aprils NFL draft. He initially signed an undrafted free agent deal with Seattle, but was waived then claimed by the Browns in May. He stood out, making several big plays during the Browns Orange and Brown scrimmage earlier in August. He continued to bolster his already strong case to make the Browns roster with his performance in New York.DB Derron SmithDerron Smith laid down some lumber on multiple occasions, filling up from the secondary to make some big stops near the line of scrimmage. While looking for depth behind Jabrill Peppers and Derrick Kindred may not be a huge concern http://www.brownsauthorizedshops.com/authe...ogunjobi-jersey , Smith is making a case for himself to crack the bottom of the roster. Heres a look at Smiths big third-down stop, courtesy of Jake Burns:Browns will work out receiver Eli Rogers this week Free agent wide receiver Eli Rogers will reportedly work out for the Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, and Oakland Raiders this week, according Pro Football Talks Mike Florio.Rogers, 25, played the last three seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent following the 2015 NFL draft. Rogers missed his rookie season, so has accrued two NFL seasons to this point. In 12 starts and 27 game appearances, Rogers has recorded 66 receptions, for 743 yards and four touchdowns. Its still possible Rogers, a restricted free agent heading into this offseason, may return to Pittsburgh. But that seems unlikely as it decided not to tender him after he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament during the teams 45-42 divisional round playoff loss to Jacksonville on Jan. 24.Although recent, Rogers recovery has gone unexpectedly well, according to ESPN Insider Adam Schefter. On Thursday Rogers said he anticipates making his decision on a new team soon. That quick timetable makes sense as training camps begin to kickoff across the league this week.I do I believe Ive put enough on tape in crucial moments for teams or the Steelers to take that chance with me, Rogers said, per Dale Lolley of DKPittsburghSports.com. I do believe Ive put a decent amount on film. Whether I made the play or not, I know I put some really good plays on film. But well see.If he does land in Cleveland, Rogers will be reunited with offensive coordinator Todd Haley, who acted in the same role with the Steelers during his two seasons with the team. Former teammate Ben Roethlisberger lauded Rogers ability to get open as well as his work ethic.Hes an inside slot guy who knows how to get open in man really quick, Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette during the season. He takes pride in his work. He almost never makes mistakes; if he does, he grows from it. Im just excited for him to get his opportunity again. The Browns roster currently holds 12 receivers, including several rookies who are all vying for a spot in a wide receiver group that is suddenly becoming very difficult to project. Rogers would not be guaranteed a spot given his recent injury, but his history with Haleyand his backingand his proven NFL experience might make John Dorsey more willing to take a chance hoping that he returns to form in time for the start of the season.

The journey from the tiny African nation of Togo to the Cologne Crocodiles of the German Football League to the Arizona Cardinals is a very long one.

Now, still learning English, Moubarak Djeri is trying to navigate the tough and often complicated world of the NFL and prove he belongs.

This experience is really big, he said after the Cardinals went through a voluntary workout Thursday. That was like a dream for me to be here. Now to see how its working, how youve got to work hard to make the team and be in the season, its a really big experience.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive end came to Arizona on a tryout basis but showed enough ability to sign a contract and earn a spot as one of the 90 players going through offseason drills.

Djeri speaks four languages German, French, his mothers native tongue of Kotokoli and just a little English. He has been in the United States for three months.

My English was not that good before I came here, Djeri said. I just started learning better the time I was here, like speaking with my other teammates, watching movies. On the field, the coach is speaking English and you just keep understanding what they say.

One of his best new friends is teammate Praise Martin-Oguike, also a defensive end Evgenii Dadonov Jersey Kids , who was born in Nigeria and moved to the United States at age 10.

The language barrier, he might not get the communications sometime, Martin-Oguike said. Its very difficult.

There are other challenges. Martin-Oguike helped Djeri set up a bank account with a debit card to facilitate the automatic deposit of his paycheck. He showed him how to use an Uber app on his phone.

And he provides lots of on-the-job encouragement.

If I have bad practices, I just think about it and get myself really mad, Djeri said. Praise says dont think too much about it. Keep going, next play. Tomorrow youre going to get better. Its something to motivate me.

Djeri was born in Lome, the capital city of Togo, a small west African nation sandwiched between Ghana and Benin. One of six children, Djeri is part of a very large extended family. He has 27 aunts and uncles.

At age 11, he moved with his family to Germany and in his late teens, he became interested in American-style football, first joining the Cologne junior team and then advancing to the senior team.

Combined, he played just four years of football. But Cologne assistant coach David Odenthal saw something special in Djeri and put together a highlight tape that eventually caught the attention of the Cardinals. He was one of many tryout players, but one of the few that made the initial cut to become an undrafted rookie.

At 22 Youth Shaquem Griffin Jersey , he has a long way to go to master the game he loves.

Hes still learning the game, coach Steve Wilks said. Hes just got to continue to get better, keep putting the time in.

The time required is so much different than what he had to do in Germany, Djeri said. He said players in Germany thought they knew what it takes to play in the NFL, but its much different once its experienced up close.

To have it and to feel it is way different than you think, he said. Youve got to be every time on point. Were done now with the practice. We do our lift in 30 minutes. After that, weve got meetings again. After that, you go to the hotel and you study and after that youve got to sleep to be ready for tomorrow.

Djeri sees how the odds must be against him.

I just ask why are they going to get someone from Europe if theyve got a lot of guys from college, he said. Theyve got a lot of guys with four years experience of college football. This is the difficulty to be here.

But he is giving it his all.

This is what I want to do every day, he said. After the practice you feel like your body is sore but this is what you want to do. Thats why it dont matter how you feel, youve got to keep at it every day to get better.
